Hi, I'm Katia, the founder of PoMo Pup Adventures. After earning my Honours Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Accounting and Entrepreneurship and gaining experience in both the federal government and private sector, I realized my heart wasn't in the office—it was with animals. My path led me to Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary, an Ottawa-based non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused farmed animals, where I worked as a primary caretaker for over 150 animals. In late 2022, I moved across the country from Ottawa to Port Moody, where the temperate coastal mountains and vibrant dog community inspired me to follow my passion for animal care and outdoor adventure.
Every day, I have the joy of guiding an incredible variety of dogs—from spirited hounds to loyal shepherds—through Port Moody's serene wilderness. Our boutique dog adventures are designed to let dogs be their authentic selves, unleashing their natural instincts in the great outdoors. Currently serving on Penny Lane's Board of Directors while running PoMo Pup Adventures, I'm living my commitment to creating a better world for all animals.
